Simon Direen - Writer / Director. 

Simon Direen is a dedicated filmmaker and welfare worker from Melbourne. During his time studying at the Swinburne University of Technology, Simon’s previous films earned him a total of 5 awards. One of these films, the narrative short Disappear, made its world premiere at the Brooklyn Film Festival in June 2015 and received the Award of Merit in the Hollywood Best Shorts Competition in July of the same year. Simon’s work has also been shown at COMMFFEST Global Toronto and the Made In Melbourne Film Festival. Currently Simon is working on several non-fiction films all for release in 2017.

Kaz Ceh - Writer / Director.

Kaz has had a keen interest in filmmaking since his childhood, always seizing the chance to pick up a camera and film
something. Through his travels throughout the world from an early age, he has gained an insight into social and political issues abroad. This has had a large influence on his filmmaking.

He began studying film in Perth, Western Australia, then moved to Melbourne to continue his studies, where he completed an Advanced Diploma of Film & Television, receiving the Best Film award at graduation. In 2015 Kaz commenced studies in 3rd year Film and Television at Swinburne University and wrote and directed "The Flower Girl", a film that aims to shed light on issues of human trafficking and child exploitation in South East Asia, shot on location in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2017  Kaz aims to find funding for a feature length version of "The Flower Girl" he wrote while completing his final year of film school.

Josh Michell-Frey - Director of Photography

Since 2011, Josh has worked as cinematographer and company director at Monster & Bear (www.monsterandbear.com.au), a video production company specialising in TVCs, branded content and music videos.
Over the last 5 years, Josh has shot over 30 short films, including Tropfest 2013 finalist ‘The Hustle’, independent short film ‘Black & White Lines’ (Long Island International Film Expo 2013, Indie Fest USA), VCA film ‘Jack & Sally’ (Palm Beach International Film Festival 2014), Deakin Masters film ‘CUT’ (American Online Film Awards 2014) and Swinburne film ‘Disappear’ (Best graduating film 2013). He has worked with many different cameras and shooting formats — from Super 16 and 8mm film to ultra high-definition digital cinema cameras. Across all formats, Josh sees cinematography as the space where art and science converge, and strives to create stunning visuals and powerful stories through their mastery.

Liam Pope - Jerry 

Liam is a talented young Australian actor living in Kew Melbourne who has recently completed his VCE and was awarded a Certificate of Excellence in Performing Arts both in year 11 and 12, as well as completing a Cert 2 in Screen Acting. Liam has studied acting for many years with St Martins Youth Theatre, Australian Youth Theatre and NIDA Open. He was featured in the short film Disappear directed by Simon Direen and Caz Ceh, as well as being cast in a main role in feature film The Comet Kids, set for release in 2017. He played Edna Turnblad in the musical Hairspray, directed a play called The Princess Bride, and been in a music clip.  Liam is passionate to pursue acting as his full time vocation.

Tamara Cole - Kelly

Based in Melbourne. Has trained in screen acting in both group and private settings, primarily at Brave Studios. Has partaken in a number of short films and music videos, the most recent being the role of Mandy in SAE short film ‘Following Mandy Grey’.
